WHY I COACH
"I love to watch the kids grow year after year. It brings me back to my younger days when I played and I want to have the impact on these kids like my coaches did for me."
Coaching Approach
"I think my approach is geared around appreciation for the game of hockey and respecting the coaches as well as the work that comes with growing. Meaning I do a lot of the endurance skating with the kids and I believe that gains some respect in the eyes of the kids. Also, not much of a yeller in practice, more encouraging (although I do yell in games to get them moving).
Core Skills & Expertise
""I started at Learn to Skate with my kids and followed my daughter Cari through her journey. I'm a lifelong Pleasant Prairie resident and grew up playing hockey for the Komets, Mites through Midgets. I think my core skill is knowledge of the game after playing it for so many years and explaining it to the players."
